Mario Dominguez - Driver, Car 55
"Portland is a track that I find probably the most challenging on the entire Champ Car circuit. You really have to get a rhythm to go fast here. I'm glad we came out to test here earlier in the year because I think it really helped me a lot. There have been a lot of improvements in the car this year - development opportunities we haven't had in the past - that has helped us be more competitive. I'm looking forward to this weekend and hope that we can capitalize now on the hard work we've been doing."
Roberto Moreno - Driver, Car 4
"Portland is a place I've always enjoyed coming to and I've had good results in the past, including two second places the last two times I raced here. The track is a challenge because of the weather - it can change really quickly so the engineers must set up the car for both wet and dry conditions. It can easily shift back and forth during the course of even one session! I think because we tested here earlier in the year that we'll have a good baseline to start from."
1. Moreno has five previous starts at Portland International Raceway with a best qualifying position of third in 2000 and a best finish in 2000 & 2001 of second.
2. Dominguez has one Champ Car start at Portland (2002; start 18th, finish 10th), and three additional starts while in the now-defunct Dayton Indy Lights series.
3. At least one Herdez Competition driver has placed in the top ten in each of the first seven events (including four top-fives), setting a new team mark.
