Servia and Tracy to use Friday's Qualifying Times Due to Wet Conditions, Will Start 11th and 13th

Portland, Oregon -- June 9th, 2007 -- Oriol Servia and Paul Tracy will start the Mazda Champ Car Grand Prix of Portland Presented by Joe's Sports & Outdoors from the 11th and 13th positions. The Forsythe duo had to stick with their Friday qualifying times as heavy rain and slick conditions prevented them from improving their spot on the grid for Sunday's race.

The Forsythe Team spent all day perfecting their rain setup and continued with the development process of their DP01 Champ Cars. On Sunday, Tracy and Servia will look to match the performance that their junior teammate Robert Wickens put on today, winning his first career Champ Car Atlantic race with Red Bull Team Forsythe.

"There was a huge amount of water on the track, I couldn't see anything. The cars were kicking up quite a bit of spray and it just seemed to stay up in the air so even if you tried to find yourself a gap it was hard to see, you got to the braking zones and you could barely see the markers. Traffic was also a big problem, everybody is trying to find a gap, every time you get going someone in front slows down so getting a clear lap was a challenge. Its going to be a crazy race tomorrow if the weather stays the same."

Paul Tracy #3 Indeck Cosworth/Bridgestone/DP01

"We tweaked our rain setup quite a bit during the morning practice and qualifying. In the morning the car was good when the rain started coming down harder but once the rain stopped and the track started drying a little bit it was just all over the place. During qualifying the car was good for a couple of laps, and we managed to turn a decent time, but after the Bridgestone Tires started wearing the car started sliding a lot and wheel spinning. Obviously the rain hurt us because yesterday we didn't get a lot of running and didn't qualify well, and today we never got the chance to improve our times so now we'll just have to make up those spots in the race."
