Quotes from Arnd Meier

Friday I like this circuit. The quick chicanes (Turns 7 & 8) on the back and the first (Festival Curves) turns. This makes the track interesting and I think it's nice.

Saturday I think we improved on the car despite an oversteering problem. The track is also a bit slower today than yesterday, but I'm not going to make excuses. We fixed the understeer problem we had from the morning session, but as I said, there was some oversteer during qualifying. I'm confident we will have the problem solved for tomorrow. Still, we learned a lot for the race.

The tires are fine. There was a little traffic towards the end of the session, but that happens.

Sunday I'd like to thank the team very much for giving me a car that ran well. It was very consistent and it shows on the lap times during the race. We were in good shape all day.

At the start, I saw a bunch of drivers sliding around. I looked for
a spot, saw it and went for it. I got through with no problem.

The restarts were no problem for me until the last yellow when Max got by me. On the (last) one I had a concrete spot on my tire which prevented me from braking well on the first chicane we came to. It took two or three laps before I got rid of the spot on my tire.

Quotes from Gerald Davis, team owner

Friday I think we made some good gains from this morning. We had a test here back in April, but since then they (Goodyear) have made some changes in the construction of the tires, so we're coming to grip with that. Overall, we're happy with the way the day ended.

Saturday I thought we would improve on today's time but that didn't happen. We fell back a spot which didn't help, but tomorrow is another day.

Sunday We're happy. Arnd ran a good race, the team did a great job in preparation of the car, and we finally scored a point which helps everything out. I think towards the end everybody had a problem with the track breaking up and build up of debris on the tires. Overall I think this was a great weekend. We needed this.
