(December 12, 1998) - PacWest Racing Group is opening its shop doors for fans to deliver food as part of CART CARES '98. The Holiday Food drive is being staged by the Indianapolis-based family of CART teams who compete in the FedEx Championship Series and the PPG-Dayton Indy Lights series. Sponsors and suppliers in the CART family are also invited to participate.

The PacWest shop will serve as a collection point for the drive through December 15. PacWest driver Mauricio Gugelmin will pilot a specially-prepared Champ Car through the streets of Downtown Indianapolis on December 16 to present the food to Gleaners Food Bank of Indianapolis. Gugelmin will appear downtown with a special guest who lives "up north."

Fans, suppliers, supporters and teams can drop off canned food items as well as toiletries to:

PacWest Racing Group 4001 Methanol Lane Indianapolis, IN 46204 (317) 297-2500

The shop's address is located off Guion Rd. between 62nd and 71st street in the Northwest section of Indianapolis.
