DEGREE SIGNS SPONSORSHIP AGREEMENT WITH DAN GURNEY'S ALL AMERICAN RACERS

SANTA ANA, Calif. (February 16, 1998) - Degree and All American Racers today announced details of a new sponsorship agreement for Gurney's two car championship entry.

Degree antiperspirant/deodorant joins lubricant specialist Castrol as a major sponsor of Gurney's Toyota-powered team, featuring All American Racers veteran PJ Jones and the 1997 Toyota Atlantic Champion, Alex Barron.

Introduced in 1990, Degree is the fourth-largest selling antiperspirant/deodorant in the United States. Its body-heat activated formula releases extra protection when you need it most. Degree's product line includes antiperspirants/ deodorants in Original Solid, Roll-On, Aerosol, New Invisible Solid and New Ultra Dry formulas.

"We are thrilled about our new relationship with Degree," said Dan Gurney. "We hope we can turn every user of Degree into a race fan by the end of the season, and make them feel like they're a part of our team. We now can give high fives with confidence!"

All American Racers, with an illustrious history in championship car racing dating back to 1966, returns to competition March 15 at the newly configured Miami-Dade Homestead Motorsports Complex.

The FedEx Championship Series will allow Degree to expand its brand awareness through advertising, marketing and customer entertainment.

Degree's body-heat activated formula will be put to the ultimate test this season, as the All American Racers crew members and drivers compete in the grueling 19-race schedule that encompasses five countries.
