Herdez Competition Team and Drivers Storm Ahead

Coming back magnificently from yesterday's crash, Mario Dominguez earned a second row starting position today when he qualified third for the Molson Indy Montreal. Ryan Hunter-Reay will start ninth after a frustrating day, in which he spun in this morning's practice, which caused damage to the rear of his car. The team hustled to get the car repaired in time for final qualifying. They succeeded.

Mario on qualifying:"Obviously we were trying to get the pole so I am not completely satisfied, but pleased nonetheless to be starting from the second row and as far as the grid goes, I think third position is a very good place to start from. It's going to be a very good race and I am looking forward to it. I am proud of my team, they worked hard last night to repair the damage from my spin yesterday; they did a great job and gave me a good car today. We have been fast everywhere this year, we have the speed, we just need to put it all together."

Ryan on qualifying:"We have had a mechanical problem which we have chased all weekend. We have now identified it, so we must now get the car sorted out for tomorrow. My thanks go to my team, they did an incredible job getting my car fixed and turned around between sessions today. They are calling for rain tomorrow, I hope it does."
