Justin 4th in Monterrey after eventful race

Justin Wilson survived an intense Tecate Telmex Monterrey Grand Prix filled with nine caution periods to finish 4th, his second top-five finish of the season. Starting from 2nd on the grid, Justin drove hard and was on his way to a podium finish before a stall on the #9 RuSPORT car's second pit-stop dropped him to the back of the pack.

After the stop the crew made the decision to make another quick stop to top up the fuel while the track was still under a full-course yellow. A mistake by Oriol Servia opened to door for a sweeping pass by Justin to clinch the 4th spot and he continued to charge hard and bring home his second consecutive top five finish. He led his team-mate to mark the second time that RuSPORT finished both cars in the top ten this year.

Justin is now 3rd in the Drivers Championship standings.

Like many others Justin was struggling afterwards to make sense of a topsy-turvy race. 'It was a really bizarre race today. It seemed like everyone had some good fortune and everyone had some bad fortune. Things were looking pretty positive until I stalled on my second pit-stop. Then we fell way back. Then I had my lucky break when Oriol (Servia) spun and I just passed several cars and got right back into it again. Both A.J. (Allmendinger) and I brought the cars home in the top ten and gained some valuable points, but it was definitely a crazy day.'
