Papis happy with race set up for Sunday's Miller Lite 250.

WEST ALLIS, Wis. - Sigma Autosport driver Max Papis qualified for the Miller Lite 250 today on a clear, sunny afternoon at The Milwaukee Mile.

Papis' best time in his #22 Sigma Autosport Lola-Ford/Cosworth, occurred on his second qualifying lap, a 22.789, which averaged out to a top speed of 163.026 mph. Papis, who is tied for seventh in the CART FedEx Championship Series point standings with 18 points, will start alongside Michel Jourdain.

The Miller Lite 225 begins Sunday at 11:45 a.m. Central Time, and will be shown live nationally on CBS-TV.

"We went a little bit away with our setup this morning and lost some time. As a result qualifying was not our best day. Overall, it was a good effort and I am looking forward to the race. We have a strong engine, I feel very comfortable about the race pace we had yesterday and it's going to be a long and patient race. It's been a long time since I've been in a Champ Car. In the meantime, I was at Indianapolis, but I'm very pleased to see my crew at Sigma. They are fantastic people and do a great job." - Max Papis, Sigma Autosport Driver
