JOURDAIN JR. SHOWS PROGRESS IN PRACTICE

Herdez driver Michel Jourdain Jr., was 23rd in the morning session, but he showed improvements taking the 14th position in the afternoon practice. Finally, in the combined practice report, he was placed 21st.

Michel Jourdain Jr., Car #19 Herdez/Payton-Coyne Racing Team: "In the afternoon the car developed some push, but we couldn't fix the problem, because our main concern was that the limiter was on, in the main straight. It happened because the gear box was shorter than we needed, but the team will work on this and hopefully tomorrow the car will performance better. We definitely need to take advantage of using the Lola chassis, which seemed to be the best in short ovals."

Antonio Marron, Motorsports Director of the Herdez/Payton-Coyne Racing Team: "We had a lot of improvements in the last session. Unfortunately, we had a small problem with the limiter in the main straight (due to shorter gears). I am sure that we can be within the top six in the qualifying session, because the Lola shows a lot of potential."
