JOURDAIN JR. GAVES A GOOD PERFORMANCE IN MOTEGI

Despite the difficult weekend that Herdez driver Michel Jourdain Jr. had to endure, the Mexican gave a good performance and managed to reach 14th place after starting from the 26th. spot. Unfortunately, he ran out of fuel when he was about to pit under a yellow flag and was towed to the pits.

Due to this situation, Michel lost 13 laps and finished in the 18th spot.

Michel Jourdain Jr., Car #19 Herdez/Payton-Coyne Racing Team: "This was my most difficult weekend in my racing career. During the race, the car was ok on Turns 1 & 2, but on 3 & 4 developed push. However, we managed to regain 12 positions and I think we could be within the points, but we ran out of fuel in a key moment and we lost a lot of time pitting. This was very disappointing, but it is better to leave this behind and to try to focus in the next race."

Antonio Marron, Motorsports Director of the Herdez/Payton-Coyne Racing Team: "Michel drove great, but we had bad luck this time. We are looking forward the next race. The Lola chassis has a lot of potential."
