Mexican driver Michel Jourdain Jr. took the 24th spot during practice for the Sunday's Bosch Spark Plug Grand Prix, at Nazareth, Pa. His best time was 20.528 seconds for an average speed of 165.900 Mph.

Michel Jourdain Jr., Car #16, Herdez/Bettenhausen Motorsports: "We had problems with the boost and we could not make many laps in the morning. For the second practice, we experienced some problems with the engine, but the chassis was improved a lot. Towards the end, the car was great, but out there we were caught in a lot of traffic."

Tom Brown, Managing Director/Chief Engineer, Herdez/Bettenhausen: "We are working on driveability problems. We had some boost problems and we are going to face that."

"When we got it right, we went for a quick lap and we got caught in traffic. I think we got it right. The car is ok. Michel is ok. Hopefully we can qualify tomorrow and we don't get stuck in the rain."
