*Oriol Servia is coming off a third place finish at the Denver Grand Prix. He has now finished on the podium in two consecutive races for the first time in his CART career (placed a career high tying second in Montreal). Servia has finished in the points in 11 of the 15 races this year and place in the top-six in nine of his last 12 events. He is sixth in the championship standings with 108 points.

*Servia has set a number of personal CART career records this season. He has earned a single season high nine top-10 finishes including a single season high seven top-five showings. He has also scored his CART career best finish placing second at Milwaukee and Montreal. Servia has set CART career records for consecutive top-six finishes, seven, top-10 showings, seven and points paying performances, eight. He has started in the top-10 in a CART career high 15 consecutive races with a single season high six top-five qualifying positions including career high second place starting positions in Montreal and Denver. He is the only driver to start in the top-10 in all 15 races this year.

*This is Servia's fourth CART season and second with Visteon/Patrick Racing.

*The 2003 Grand Prix Americas will be Servia's 69th career CART start and 26th for Visteon/Patrick Racing.

*This will be Servia's second start in Miami. He qualified 13th and finished 17th in last year's inaugural event.

*In 68 previous CART starts, Servia has earned 32 top-ten finishes including 13 top-five showings (second, Milwaukee and Montreal - 2003; third, Denver - 2003, Detroit - 2000; fourth, Rockingham - 2002, Brands Hatch - 2003; fifth, St. Louis - 2000, Vancouver and Germany - 2001, Fontana - 2002, Germany, Portland and Toronto - 2003) with four podium performances. His best finish is second at Milwaukee and Montreal - 2003.

*In 25 starts with Visteon/Patrick Racing, 10 in 2002 and 15 in 2003, Servia has placed in the points 16 times with 13 top-10 finishes, nine top-five showings and three podium performance (second, Milwaukee and Montreal - 2003; third, Denver -2003 fourth, Brands Hatch - 2003, Rockingham - 2002; fifth, Fontana - 2002, Germany, Portland and Toronto - 2003).

*Servia's best finish for Visteon/Patrick Racing is second at Milwaukee and Montreal (2003). His best starting position is second in Montreal and Denver (2003).

*Servia is competing with his fourth CART team. He drove for PPI Motorsports in 2000, Sigma Autosports in 2001 and PWR Racing for three races in 2002 before joining Visteon/Patrick Racing for the final ten events of the 2002 season.

*Servia, 28, a native of Pals, Catalonia, Spain, resides in Miami, Florida.

Patrick Racing General Manager Jim McGee, who is in his 44th year of Champ Car competition, has amassed the most victories by a Manager/Chief Mechanic with 89. His record includes four Indianapolis 500 titles and nine national championships.
