Nelson Philippe Takes Seventh, Dan Clarke Qualifies 15th in Provisional Qualifying in Mexico City

Nelson Philippe: "Coming into the weekend, we knew this was a difficult track, in terms of car setup. Seventh position isn't a bad result, but it's not where we want to be. We have to go back and look at the data to see where we're losing time. The car is really unstable, and it's hard to go quick right now, but the team and I will work hard overnight to improve tomorrow, and I'm confident that we we'll be quicker."

Dan Clarke: "We weren't able to do many laps in this morning's practice session, and that was my fault. I really gained some good experience with the track in the pre-qualifying session this afternoon, and things went a lot better. But before qualifying started, we realized we needed to change an upright on the car's suspension, so we had to give up a qualifying stint and try to work things out in only one stint. After we did a couple of fast laps, the tires went away. So, I haven't had as much experience with the track as I want to, but I felt more positive with the driving as the session went on. I was able to gain some time and I'm feeling comfortable on the track, even though this is my first time here. I'm disappointed overall, but we'll keep working on it tonight, and we'll figure out how to be quicker tomorrow.
