Mexico City, Mexico, November 11, 2006 -- The final round of qualifying of the 2006 season took place today in Mexico City at the Gran Premio Telmex Presentado por Banamex and the Mi-Jack Conquest Racing Team did not get the anticipated qualifying positions but they head into tomorrow's race confident that they can finish in the top-ten. Charles Zwolsman improved his lap time from yesterday, but his 1:26.480 wasn't enough to move him up the grid and he remains in 12th. Andrew Ranger equaled his best time from the first round of qualifying but he slid to 16th on the starting grid. The last race of the season gets underway tomorrow at 3:00 p.m. eastern time and will be broadcast live on Speed.
12th - Charles Zwolsman #34 Mi-Jack Conquest Racing
"We improved the car quite a bit. We had a good car on the red tires on the last outing. Unfortunately we had a big lock up in the very first quick lap on my last stint and seeing that these tires only give two quick laps it kind of killed our chances of getting a better lap. The times are pretty close and a top-ten was possible so I am a bit disappointed that I messed up that lap. I look forward to tomorrow to see if I could make up some places. The race should be interesting. With the tires going off fairly quickly, it's going to be a matter of which car has the best set-up and puts the least amount of pressure on the tires."
16th - Andrew Ranger #27 Wal-Mart / Tide
"There's not much to say. The car felt good but looking at our place on the starting grid, I guess the speed just wasn't there. It's definitely not the way I wanted to end the last qualifying session of the season but to look on the bright side of it, each time this season that I started far I managed to finish in the top-ten. Hopefully I can do the same tomorrow and end the season on a high."
