Champ Cars Most Recent Race Winner: Hunter-Reay is Champ Car's most recent race winner. He earned his first Champ Car victory at the final race of 2003 in Surfers Paradise, Australia. He became the first American Rookie to win a Champ Car race in 20 years with that victory.

Welcome JCDecaux: Herdez Competition welcomed a new partner this week, JCDecaux, the leader in outdoor advertising. JCDecaux joins Herdez, McCormick, Vitro, Televisa, AstraZeneca, Roshfrans, and Comex as valued business partners with Herdez Competition, who use Champ Car as a platform to reach their desired demographics in advertising.

Good Morning Manhattan: Hunter-Reay made his first visit to New York City last weekend and he did it in style! He drove the two-seater Champ Car through Manhattan and finished up in Times Square where three commercials were filmed. As he described it, "unbelievable".

American Dream: Hunter-Reay is an American racing success story. He started racing go-karts at the age of 11. Ten years later he became the first driver to graduate from each series in the Champ Car Ladder System to the top rung, Champ Car. The 2003 Long Beach Grand Prix was just his third Champ Car race; he started 14th and finished a very respectable seventh.

Hunter-Reay on Long Beach "It is has been a long off-season and I am definitely ready to go. We have spent many hours preparing on and off the track and that will pay off for sure; I feel we are extremely well prepared. It's exciting, we are kicking off a new era of Champ Car with an extremely strong field at the 30th running of the Long Beach Grand Prix, one of my favorites, it is an incredible event. Southern California is huge market for my sponsors, it's such an honor to represent Herdez and drive their Champ Car, Herdez Competition is a great team and I intend to spend my weekend at the front-end of the grid."
