Herdez Competition rookie driver Mario Dominguez made hard contact with the tire barrier protecting the outside retaining wall at turn seven on the 47th lap of today's CART Grand Prix of Mid Ohio. The car sustained some minor damage to the rear which prohibited him from continuing but Mario was unhurt.

"It looked worse on television than it actually was I think. I'm not hurt physically but it's really hard emotionally. I just lost it - I made a mistake. It's very unfortunate because the car was running really well in the race and I think we had a pretty good shot at a top ten finish. I feel really bad for the team. They worked really hard for me and gave me a car that was very consistent."

What's Next
The Champ Cars return to action on Friday for practice and provisional qualifying at Elkhart Lake's Road America in Wisconsin. The Grand Prix of Road America featuring the Motorola 220 will take place on Sunday, August 18th.
