Sebastien Bourdais, No. 2 McDonald's Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone: "I'm just lucky the McDonald's team did a good job. I knew that qualifying would be frustrating but hopefully we will be able to make some improvements for the race. Pat (Carpentier) was fastest today; we'll just have to try something different for tomorrow. Forsythe found some tweaks and it shows in their lap times. Newman/Haas did a good job but not enough for pole. We are flat out here. The specifications we have on the cars make us flat out around the track. There is nothing else to take out of the car to make it faster. There will always be a small difference between engines. You've got to win the lottery; it's Vegas. There are a lot of unknowns for the race. I'm just happy we're up front and can fight for the win."

Bruno Junqueira, No. 6 PacifiCare Ford-Cosworth/Lola/Bridgestone: "I think the PacifiCare car is perfect but unfortunately our engine is down on power. We're going to change it before the race and hopefully have a good engine and good race. You are flat out here all the way around so you can only go as fast as your car and engine will allow. There is a bigger difference between engines this year for some reason. Last year they were more consistent. Ten horsepower makes a big difference. If I didn't have a good car, I wouldn't be as disappointed to not have a chance to fight for pole. This is a very nice track unfortunately we have too much downforce and it makes it easy to drive flat. I like ovals; I usually do well on them. Hopefully tomorrow will be no exception."

ON THE SCHEDULE TOMORROW: The pre-race warm-up will begin at 5:15 p.m. MT and the race will begin at approx. 10 p.m. MT. Spike TV will air the race on a tape-delayed basis at 4 p.m. ET / PT on Sunday, September 26.
