Tony Kanaan and his #55 Hollywood/Mo Nunn Racing Honda-Reynard clocked the fourth fastest lap around the Milwaukee Mile in today's one and only practice session for Sunday's Miller Lite 225. Helio Castroneves, fresh off last weekend's Indy 500 victory, was fastest today at 22.300 seconds (166.601 mph), followed by Cristiano da Matta at 22.463 seconds (165.382 mph) and Kenny Brack 22.535 seconds (164.864 mph).
Practice resumes Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. local time (10:30 a.m. EDT) with qualifying set to begin at 1:30 p.m. local time (2:30 p.m. EDT). Race time Sunday is 3 p.m. local time (4 p.m. EDT) and it will be broadcast live by ABC-TV.
"It was definitely a good day from a team standpoint. I mean 'teamwork' when I say that. Alex and I were both trying different things with our cars and we both ended up in the top five. That's not where I want to be when this is all over. I want to be running up front, and I know we are capable of being the fastest cars out there. Now we have to go to work and figure out the best things we learned today. Then we'll start fresh in the morning and try to move up in the order with both of our cars."
