(West Allis, Wis.) January 10, 2005 -- A mixture of championship stock car racing and open wheel racing events highlight the 2005 racing season at The Milwaukee Mile.
Season tickets to four exciting race weekends at America's Legendary Oval go on sale this Monday, January 17th at 9:00am CST by calling The Milwaukee Mile ticket office at (414) 453-8277.
Full season packages start at $99.
"When we introduced season tickets to our fans one year ago, it was well received. We're confident with additional NASCAR and USAC events, we've developed packages for our fans to enjoy their favorite racing action at very affordable prices," stated Mark Perrone, Vice President / General Manager of The Milwaukee Mile.
Paul Tracy, Sebastien Bourdais, Jimmy Vasser and the open wheel stars of the Champ Car World Series kick off the season June 3 & 4. In addition to the challenging Toyota Atlantic Championship series, the accomplished stock car drivers of the ARCA RE/MAX Series, led by defending champion Frank Kimmel, have been added to the weekend schedule. Both the Champ Car and ARCA main events will be run on Saturday afternoon June 4th, in a shift back to daytime events.
The popular NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and NASCAR Busch Series weekend will feature the only night races this season at The Milwaukee Mile, on Friday June 24 and Saturday June 25, respectively.
The Indy Racing League IndyCar Series will make their triumphant return the weekend of July 22, 23 and 24. The stars of the Indianapolis 500 will be accompanied by the IRL Menards Infiniti Pro Series, the thrilling USAC Silver Crown Series and daring drivers of the USAC National Midget Series.
The fourth weekend of racing to be included in the season ticket package is August 26, 27 and 28. For the first time since 2001, the NASCAR Autozone Elite Division, Midwest Series competitors will race on Sunday afternoon. Joining the line-up is the ultra-fast USAC Valvoline National Sprint Car Series and over 170 grass-roots Midwest stock car racers competing in Governor's Cup events.
Annual statements have been produced and are being mailed to all current ticket subscribers, ensuring them the first opportunity to renew their tickets and to take advantage of season ticket packages.
