Justin an encouraging 4th in Houston first qualifying

Justin and the CDW/RSPORTS team enjoyed a solid start to their preparations for Sunday's Grand Prix of Houston. After running consistently in the top 5 in Friday's two practice sessions, Justin ran two stints on the harder black Bridgestone compound during first qualifying and posted the 4th fastest time (59.216sec, 102.317 mph). His RSPORTS team-mate Alex Tagliani was 5th fastest (59.269sec) in the #8 LXN2 car.

Sebastien Bourdais (Newman/Haas/Lanigan) took provisional pole and a guaranteed front row start for Sunday's race. His 58.376sec lap (103.789 mph) set a new track record and was half a second clear of 2nd fastest man, Team Australia's Will Power (58.890sec), who was the only runner in the top 5 on the softer red Bridgestone compound. Graham Rahal was 3rd fastest for Newman/Haas/Lanigan (58.998sec).

"We've made some good progress today in the #9 CDW/RSPORTS car", said Justin. "I think that it has a lot more potential, but things are very positive right now. We definitely want to be on the front row this weekend, so we'll continue to work hard for tomorrow's final qualifying and try to get further up on the grid for Sunday's race."
