INDIANAPOLIS (December 13, 2004) -- The Bridgestone Presents The Champ Car World Series Powered by Ford will again be featured on an episode of the History Channel's new show Tactical to Practical tonight, with Monday night's episode addressing how the series addresses the demands that extreme speeds and G-forces put upon the human body.

On tonight's episode at 11 p.m. Eastern, the show's host, Hunter Ellis, interviews the drivers, owners, and engineers from various Champ Car teams including Newman/Haas Racing, RuSPORT, PKV Racing, and Forsythe Championship Racing, as well as Champ Car Executive Vice President of Operations, John Lopes to examine the new designs that keep race car drivers from blacking out during extreme G-force acceleration.

Filmed at the Grand Prix of Monterey at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in September, Tuesday's episode is the second Tactical To Practical show that has focused on Champ Car racing in the past weeks demonstrating how military innovations are used in everyday civilian activities. Two weeks ago, Hunter Ellis took History Channel viewers to Laguna Seca to show how aerodynamic innovations that were first used on military aircraft, are being used in today's ultra-modern Champ Cars.
