It was a very rainy morning in Milwaukee today, resulting in the cancellation of all morning activities. The Champ Cars finally took to the track at 12:45 p.m. and immediately Bryan Herta set some of the quickest times of the field on the legendary Milwuakee Mile. With the strong possibility of rain on everyone's mind, Herta and the crew made sure to capitalize on today's session. After nearly two hours of track time, Herta finished the afternoon in 9th position and pleased with the day's accomplishments. If weather permits, Herta will shoot for the pole tomorrow at 1:30 CT.

Friday Practice: 9th 22.775 - 163.126 mph

Herta on Practice:

"Fortunately the car was good right away, so losing a practice session didn't hurt us too much. The car is comfortable and we were able to get a lot done today. Provided the weather holds out in the morning, we will keep working and we should be all set for qualifying."
