TORONTO - Team KOOL Green drivers Dario Franchitti and Paul Tracy enjoyed a good day on the first day of practice for the Molson Indy. Franchitti turned the third fastest lap, while Tracy set the seventh fastest time in preparation for Sunday's race.

PAUL TRACY, #26 TEAM KOOL GREEN HONDA/REYNARD:
(7th with a lap-average speed of 106.969 mph / 59.119 seconds)
"It's been a very busy week for me and it felt really good to get in the KOOL car today and get down to business. I'm pretty happy with the way the car was working, especially since I ran on old tires most of the day. We put on new tires halfway through the afternoon session and set our fast time. Then I was able to keep running similar times even though the tires weren't fresh. I know if we had put on fresh tires at the end of the session we'd have definitely gone quicker. The car is reasonably balanced and so far every change we've made has made the car better. I'm able to get the power down really well and that's very important here. We'll keep working at it and hopefully get a top five tomorrow in qualifying. We need to get things turned around and this would be the place to do it - in front of the hometown fans."
DARIO FRANCHITTI, #27 TEAM KOOL GREEN HONDA/REYNARD:
(3rd with a lap-average speed of 107.711 mph / 58.657 seconds)
"Team KOOL Green have always run well here, so we were pretty comfortable coming to Toronto. We feel like we're on a bit of a roll after good results in Detroit (2nd) and Cleveland (1st), but only time will tell. The car was very good all day today. It feels like a pretty good race car. The track is incredibly slippery and the bumps in the corner are big, but the Team KOOL Green crew has given me a setup that's working very well. The first hurdle is to get qualified at the front tomorrow and then see where we go in the race. We've had a good car all season, and now other things are going our way as well."
