Today, André Couto received a surprising proposal to test in the Dale Coyne Racing Team next January at the Sebring track in Florida. The Champ Cart Championship is the most prestigious American motor sport (equal to the F.1), and is a rising opportunity for the young Portuguese driver, fresh from the Macau Grand Prix victory and the Formula Nippon tests in Motegi, Japan with the Nova Team.
"I am anxious to take advantage of this great opportunity and drive such a potent machine in such an international prestigious championship. The Dale Coyne Team will provide me with this test, and I want to execute a professional job to impress", said André Couto, who's victory in the Macau Grand Prix 2000 is working as a Jackpot of opportunities for his sportive career.
"I hope to wisely take advantage of all the opportunities. Macau has been very supportive, and I know I can count on them in the future. I don't want to go over my head, or make a quick decision, because all of the offers will contribute to add prestige to my carrier as a professional driver".
The initial contact between the Dale Coyne Team and André Couto took place last week in Japan, while the Formula Nippon tests: "A representative of the Team contacted my father, who was with me at the time, to know if I was available to accept the test invitation. My father told them we could talk at a later date, and today they contacted us to confirm the test drive, and our answer was positive", explained André Couto, who's image has increased worldwide.
