Fittipaldi and Manager Paiva part ways after seven years.

KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. (April 19, 2002) --- CART Champ car driver Christian Fittipaldi and manager Fernando Paiva have agreed to end their driver/manager relationship they way they began it - as friends -- after working together for over seven years. Paiva will be pursuing other opportunities in motor racing.

"Fernando and I will continue to be the best of friends beyond our professional involvement, as has always been the case," said Fittipaldi, who met Paiva in 1990 while both worked in Europe. "Actually, no one should be surprised to see us work together again in the near future."

Accomplished businessman and commodities trader Roberto Martins took over Paiva's duties, effective Monday, April 15th. Martins will be moving from London to Miami, near the location of the Fittipaldi International offices after most recently holding the title of Vice President for Louis Dreyfus Corp., a leading trading company, in London.
