A problem in the pits decided the faith of Neel Jani's race in Edmonton

Neel finished 9th in the Edmonton Grand Prix. After having started 5th on the grid, a fantastic start saw him in 3rd place. During the yellow phase, lying in 4th place, he came in for his first pit stop. Unfortunately, due to a sticking clutch the engine stalled, which cost him 30 more seconds and put him at the end of the field.

An impressive offensive drive gained him ten places and was running in 7th position, when the front tyres started degrading and zero "power to pass" time made him loose two places.

"The upward trend is very evident and I am pleased with the progress we are making. We were never this close to the pole position time ever this season, as in Edmonton. Also in the race I had a front running competitive car, thanks to my team."
