SCOTT DIXON - # 18 NTN PACWEST TOYOTA
"My car is getting better and better the more we run, and we've seemed to improve every time out," said Dixon. "I really needed a clear lap toward the end of qualifying, but I didn't get it. I was on my second set of tires and prepared for a flying lap, but the traffic was really bad. We still need to work on finding some rear traction for the race, and that will be our main objective for tomorrow's warm-up session. We'll get it sorted out and be ready come race time."
MAURICIO GUGELMIN - # 17 NEXTEL PACWEST TOYOTA
"We seemed to have gone backwards from this morning, because my car seemed to be worse for qualifying than it was for practice," said Gugelmin. "I'm having problems through the corners because I'm very loose on entry with push in the mid-corner areas. We made several changes, but couldn't seem to minimize my problems. The course is so tight here you almost need to be perfect all around. I couldn't manage to put a good lap together, and I'm still losing time on the straights because I'm touching down too much over the bumps. We'll see what we can do tonight to fix things, then use tomorrow mornings race warm-up session to fine tune the car."
