Zanardi averaged 112.449 miles per hour and led a race-high 68 of 100 laps while scoring his third consecutive victory and his fifth of the season. Andretti's podium finish was his third of the season and the fifth of his career at Cleveland. Dario Franchitti (KOOL Honda Reynard) finished third for his second career podium performance, topped only by a runner-up showing at Long Beach earlier in the season.
