Bridgestone Tire Performance Summary: Bridgestone engineers brought the same primary tire specification and a proven alternate tire that was new to Cleveland. Both specs performed well in the mild weekend conditions, going full stints without issue. Complete driver tire selection details for the race can be found on the accompanying chart.

From Paul Tracy, #3 Indeck Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone: "I had to push the Bridgestone tires hard at the end, but I did more laps than anybody that last stint and they were completely worn out. I can't complain, though. When I needed to go quick in the third stint, I was able to run really quick lap times on the Bridgestones when everybody else pitted. I'm just really happy."

From Robert Doornbos, #14 Muermans/Jumbo Supermarkten/Mediamall Cosworth/DP01/ Bridgestone: "Great job on the tires because they were incredibly consistent. We knew we were fast on used tires and in the race the red Bridgestone Potenzas were the ones to have. Even the blacks were good but just a little bit less overall grip. I could really push the red ones."

From Joe Barbieri, Manager, Bridgestone Motorsport: "Once again, the Cleveland fans were treated to a wild and unpredictable race, and both Bridgestone tires played prominent roles in the outcome. Paul Tracy ran nearly the whole race on the primary black-sidewall Potenzas, and was able to push his way back up front after two early on-track incidents. Robert Doornbos loved the red-sidewall alternate Potenzas that helped him come back to second place. It just shows the concept is working by providing drivers a choice of fine Bridgestone tires. We were again impressed with the work done by Mike Lanigan's promotions group in Cleveland, and impressed with the turnout today. Among the crowd were a thousand Bridgestone teammates, families and guests who undoubtedly had a great time."
