"It was a horrible weekend and I am glad it's over. They made some changes to Ryan's car that really helped him in warm up. The applied the changes to my car between warm up and the grid. It was a bit of a thrash. The car felt really happy on the pace laps then I noticed my front tire was turned in and I knew I had a problem. Turns out we had a mechanical issue with the left front suspension and it ended our day. We'll pull up our socks and prepare for a good weekend at Germany."
RYAN HUNTER-REAY , #31 American Spirit/Ford-Cosworth/Reynard
"We made some crazy changes to the set-up last night which actually helped the car a lot. My car in warm up was by far the best car I have had all weekend. I had a good start, I passed Montiero; I was trying to protect my position at Druids and he passed two cars around the outside. The car was horrible on cold tires, but once we got some temperature in the tires it was pretty good. We had a good pace going most of the race, I am not sure what happened with Fernandez, he hit my right rear, and it punctured my tire so we had to make an extra stop. It was a tough weekend for us, it would have been nice to leave with some points."
Notes: Hunter-Reay set the third fastest lap of the race and was the fastest Reynard on track.
