Servia Fifth, Tracy Tenth After Under Wet Conditions
Assen, Holland -- August 31, 2007 -- Oriol Servia and Paul Tracy of Forsythe Championship Racing qualified provisionally in the fifth and tenth positions for the Bavaria Champ Car Grand Prix, second and final round of the Phanos Champ Car European Team Cup. The Forsythe duo lapped the extremely fast and challenging 2.830 mile circuit under tricky wet and cold conditions but were not able to close a lap when the track was at its quickest.
Servia showed speed under dry conditions by finishing fourth during morning practice only .165s from the leader but unfortunately was not able to challenge for the pole under the wet qualifying conditions. The Spaniard still managed to qualify fifth with a lap of 1m31.900s in a circuit which is quickly becoming one of his favorites.
Tracy was faced with the difficult situation of having to complete two quick laps as his fastest time was taken away after causing a red flag at the beginning of the qualifying session. His second quickest time of 1m32.719s places him tenth on the provisional grid for Sunday's race.

"We were quite happy with car on the dry, we thought we had chance to fight for the pole. When its wet things change so quickly, both runs actually were wet at the start and then dried towards the end, so its tricky just being out there at the right time when it was driest was the key. I think we had a decent shot, we didn't do anything really good or anything really bad which is the trick on the wet. We ended up P5, I think on the dry we would've been faster but its not a bad place to be. I love the track, I think this the most fun I've had driving one of these race cars, its just so fast and so challenging. These cars handle so well, it's just a lot of fun. For the race its going to be very challenging to overtake just because of the nature of the track, there's no hard braking zones so definitely qualifying and pit stops are going to be the key."

"We should've been farther up the grid but we lost our fastest lap for causing a red flag at the beginning of the session. I pushed really hard every single lap because I had to put in two quick times. It was tricky out there with the wet conditions; the grip was changing by the second as the track dried and then when it rained again. This is a really fast track so it's a shame that it rained because the fans didn't really get to see these cars at full speed, but hopefully tomorrow it will stay dry for qualifying and we can put on a good show."
