Bridgestone Tire Performance Summary: The Assen circuit, with its high speeds and quick turns, required the moderate-grip, highly durable primary tire in Bridgestone's current road course lineup. Despite cool temperatures and overcast skies, both the primary and alternate Potenzas provided drivers with plenty of grip and consistency, as evidenced by several fuel-only stops throughout the race. These same primary and alternate specifications were used previously this year at Cleveland, Edmonton, Mont-Tremblant and Zolder. A chart with each driver's tire use today is below/attached.

From Justin Wilson, #9 CDW RuSPORT Cosworth/DP01/Bridgestone: "Yeah, the Bridgestone tires were working great! The alternate tires were fantastic, as were the primaries. So, you know, it was just a case of holding on and getting our first win of the year."

From Page Mader, General Manager, Race Tire Development, Bridgestone Motorsport: "Assen definitely lived up to its reputation as a very fast, technical track, so we are pleased that we brought the right tires for this inaugural Champ Car event. Our mid-range primary and alternate tires performed very well, and drivers were universally complimentary of the Potenzas' performance this weekend. It's always a bit of a risk, coming into a new track with so many unknown factors - including weather. But we hit on the right combination for this race and are looking forward to returning next year with the knowledge we have acquired. Overall, it was a great event - huge crowds at a track that really allowed the Champ Cars show off their speed and handling. The fans here have demonstrated that they are enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Series, and as a tire company, that is a great audience to reach."
