CHAMPCAR/CART: Alex Barron to Drive for All American Racers

All American Racers has signed the reigning Kool/Toyota Atlantic Champion Alex Barron to team with PJ Jones as part of a two-car entry.

The decision was reached following a four day test session at Firebird Raceway last week. Barron and Jones will campaign Toyota-powered Reynards on Goodyear tires for the 1998 FedEx Championship Series.

"I was hoping to find a young American driver who would be able to grow with our team as we continue our development efforts. I think Alex will be great!" Dan Gurney said.
