"FIREBAT" TAKES STEPS TO ENSURE ACCURATE REPORTING ON THE CONDITION OF STAN FOX; OTHERS ENCOURAGED TO FOLLOW SUIT WITH TV STATIONS IN CITIES WHERE THEY LIVE
FOLLOW SUIT WITH TV STATIONS IN THEIR CITIES
Dear Brian and Ron Hemelgarn,
After reading Brian's latest reports this morning on AOL, I decided to take some action to ensure accurate reporting of Stan Fox' condition in the Los Angeles area. I faxed the letter below, along with the appropriate reports Brain has been posting, to my local TV stations, here, in Los Angeles.
I'm encouraging others who've been posting here to do the same in the cities where they live. In fact, please feel free to download my letter and use it as a sample cover letter to accompany Brian's posts.
Here's my letter:
[Letter to networks re: Stan Fox]

Channels 2, 4, 5, 7, 9 and 13 Los Angeles, California
Dear Sports Directors/Editors,
Pursuant to my telephone conversations with representatives from all of these television stations, today at noon, I am forwarding you the latest information that I've downloaded off of America OnLine regarding midget and Indy Car driver Stan Fox.
As I noted during our telephone conversations, this information is being posted on America OnLine by Brian Hemelgarn, the son of Indy Car owner Ron Hemelgarn. Obviously, the Hemelgarns are very close to the Fox family right now, so I'm positive the information coming from Brian is the most accurate available to all of us in the racing community. I've downloaded Brian's America OnLine profile for your perusal, and have included it with the reports I've downloaded.
In addition, I'm going to encourage others around the country, via an America OnLine post, to contact their local TV stations, as I have done here, so that we can get accurate reporting on the condition of Stan Fox.
Believe me, ladies and gentlemen, the condition of Stan Fox is every bit as important to the racing community, as is the condition of Christopher Reeve to both the racing community and entertainment industry. I'm sure you can understand the distress inaccurate reporting can cause the immediate family of Stan Fox, and the Hemelgarn's as car owners of the race car he was driving when the unfortunate crash took place.
Thank you for your assistance in ensuring the reports on Stan Fox are timely and accurate. I'll continue to send faxes updating Stan's condition, as the information is updated and posted by Brian Hemelgarn on America OnLine.
In the event you require further information, my telephone number is 714-723-5522, and my fax number is 714-723-5533.

TO THOSE READING THIS INFORMATION, please help Brian and myself ensure accurate reports on Stan. Thanks from the Firebat!
