The Service Central Team Finishes Second at Milwaukee
Service Central Chip Ganassi Racing (SCCGR) driver Graham Rahal finished second in the Milwaukee 225, marking his best finish in three starts at The Milwaukee Mile.
Rahal started the 225-lap race from 12th-place and showed strength early on by driving the No. 38 Service Central Honda to the top-five by lap 100. The Service Central team would avoid on-track altercations and make the most of double-file restarts to nab a spot inside the top-two with 25 laps to go. Rahal crossed the finish line in second-place, bringing home his third podium finish of the IZOD IndyCar Series season.
With the solid finish, Rahal advances to the top-five in the IZOD IndyCar Series points standings, moving from seventh to fifth.
Graham Rahal: "A great job for the Service Central team to come from 12th and move up like that; we passed a lot of cars. I thought passing was going to be tough and it was, but we were able to do it. I'm really proud of my guys. They gave me a great car, and yet again, qualifying is our weak link, but time and time again we're proving we can compete and this is one of the toughest ovals we go to, so to have that finish is great. We're knocking on the door (of Victory Lane). It's our second second-place finish of the year and third podium. We're getting closer. It's going to come one of these days."
