Marco Andretti: "Mid-Ohio is one of the tracks where I have a ton of laps for whatever reason, so I always enjoy going back."

Heading to Mid-Ohio sitting 12th in the championship points fight, E.J. Viso currently has six top-10 finishes this season. The 28-year-old's best finish at the upcoming permanent road course is 15th in 2011 (matching his finish in 2009). August 4th's race will be the Venezuelan's sixth start there.

"I'm very happy to be returning to the road courses. I think Mid-Ohio is a place that is going to suit us very well. The team has had great performances lately and we just need to continue the momentum. I'm very close to being in the top 10, and hopefully Mid-Ohio is the race that will allow me that."

With 11 top-10 finishes this season, third-generation racer Marco Andretti heads to Mid-Ohio ranked fourth in the IZOD IndyCar Series championship standings. The 2013 Indy 200 will be Andretti's seventh start at the 2.25-mile permanent road course. His best start at the track came in 2008 when he gridded in the third position.

"Mid-Ohio is one of the tracks where I have a ton of laps for whatever reason, so I always enjoy going back. I have always run decent there and I think after spending some time in the shop going through data, I have a lot better feel for what we were doing wrong last year. I think we know where the time is so hopefully we are right and can have the RC (Cola) Chevy on top this weekend."

Ryan Hunter-Reay, No. 1 DHL Chevrolet

ESPY's Best Driver winner Ryan Hunter-Reay will make his eighth Mid-Ohio start this weekend behind the wheel of the No. 1 Chevy. The DHL driver made his best start at the 13-turn circuit in 2003 (from third) and holds a best finish of third (2003, 2011) in Lexington, Ohio. The 32-year-old Florida resident has recorded two wins and two pole starts this season and sits third in the championship points standings, less than 70 points from the lead.

"The race at Mid-Ohio is one of my favorite rounds of the IndyCar schedule. Mid-Ohio is the heart of American open-wheel road racing and I have some great memories over the years at this track. I've been on the podium a few times here, and following tough weekends we had at Pocono and Toronto, we'll be working hard to rebound and cut into the championship points lead. We're a tenacious bunch at Andretti Autosport and we're determined to make a late season run at the championship."

James Hinchcliffe, No. 27 GoDaddy Chevrolet

Canadian James Hinchcliffe, who finished fifth at the 2012 Indy 200 from the Mid-Ohio Sport Car Course, has recorded three wins in the IZOD IndyCar Series so far this season and is eighth in the points standings entering this weekend's 90-lap race. IndyCar's 14th round of competition in the 2013 season will be Hinchcliffe's 45th career start and third start at Mid-Ohio.

"Mid-Ohio is one of the great road courses in the country. It's one of the most fun places to physically drive an IndyCar - I love racing there. Last year the GoDaddy Chevy was quick but we had a problem in qualifying, so went for a three (pit) stops in the race. It was a blast because I got to run qualifying laps all day! I was worn out at the end but it paid off as we got up to fifth. We should have a solid car, and some added track time with the test, so we just want to get there and get to work!"
