Andretti Autosport at Indianapolis: Final practice report

The five Andretti Autosport drivers took to the 2.5-mile oval for today's final practice session.

Ryan Hunter-Reay, No. 28 DHL Honda: "Practice was pretty good, we had a good balance and we were working our way through traffic when we saw a bit of grease on the left rear that we needed to end practice. Precautionary measure on our part to make sure there isn't unnecessary damage or ware going on. So we came back a bit early to check it out, but really looking forward to tomorrow's race."

Marco Andretti, No . 25 Snapple Honda: "Practice was alright, I think we are two changes away from where we're supposed to, which is unfortunately because you would like to end today with the setup that you're going to use for the race. I think we need to make one more solid change to the No. 25 Snapple Honda before we're really good."

James Hinchcliffe, No. 27 United Fiber & Data Honda: ""Honestly, I feel like we still need a bit of work. We struggled a little more than I'd like to, but that seems to always happen to us on Carb Day; it's the day of mass panic. But I have a lot of faith in the guys. We have other teammates we can pull some information from and hopefully get the car in a good position for Sunday, which I'm pretty confident we will."

Kurt Busch, No. 26 Suretone Honda: "Just had to get back up on my horse, as the NASCAR guys always say. Just got to thank my crew. Honestly, this is a thank-the-crew moment from Andretti Motorsports. Those guys worked tirelessly on Marco Andretti's car that he's going to run next weekend at Detroit to put it in oval condition, to go out there, make laps, stage ourselves to progress through the day today. That one-hour session, that old school Happy Hour thrash that we would call in the NASCAR world. Felt good to get out there and get comfortable. I'd give it a B overall. Nice feeling to get settled back in and thanks to the Andretti Autosport guys."

Carlos Muñoz, No. 34 Cinsay Honda: "This morning's practice was just so we could get a feel for the car, shake it down and make sure everything is ok for tomorrow. We think we're in a pretty good position for the race, it feels good so let's see how it goes in the race."
