Welcome to Indiana-ville via Jay Alley: 23 cars took to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the third day of practice plus one rookie who arrived after racing in Barcelona, Spain.
Derrick Walker commented in the press conference held at Indianapolis Motor Speedway yesterday that he has “… been around enough to see the good, the bad, and the ugly”.

Rookie Conor Daly was okay while rookie Carlos Munoz again topped the charts. Tomorrow is Fast Friday and perhaps the expected veterans will be the ones to set the hot laps.

Andretti Autosport driver E.J. Viso was hot today when he set the fastest lap during practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway since 2003.
Katherine Legge recently became the first woman to race the DeltaWing in the ALMS 4 hour event at Laguna Seca, and today she will return to an IndyCar cockpit for the Indianapolis 500

The morning rain in Indianapolis did not damper the enthusiasm of the drivers or there fans for the Indy 500 Pole Day activities. The final top nine shootout ended with the Indiana driver who is also the team owner!

The Greatest Spectacle in Racing has seen changes over the years which of course includes the way the time trails take place -- now on just one weekend, weather depending of course.

When Ed Carpenter decided to form his own team, he surrounded himself with those he knew could handled the job, and last year we saw the positive outcome - now to slay Goliath again!
The penalties laid down by INDYCAR for engine changes at IMS will be imposed at the event in Detroit. The infractions found at the 500 venue were handed monetary fines.

The increasing number of women driving high-power racing machines continues to grow worldwide and for this year’s running of the Indianapolis 500, there will be four lady racers to take the green flag on Sunday.
The 2012 Indy Lights Champion moved up to the premier IndyCar series this year and will take the green flag for the first time in the Indianapolis 500.
The Indianapolis 500 winner had to wait to finally drink the milk! The top rookie Manoz finished second and Hunter-Reay was third.
