Italian Costantino Peroni clinched pole in the final JK Tyre Racing series weekend at the Buddh International circuit amid foggy weather conditions.
After winning last round's final race at the same venue, the young Italian continued his fine momentum taking double pole ahead of championship leader Vishnu Prasad.
Peroni lapped in a 2m08.842s which was a mere 0.016s quicker than Prasad's lap as National Racing championship winner Karthik Tharani finished third.
Nayan Chatterjee will start the first race from fourth while for the other race, taking the second-fastest time will line-up alongside Peroni at the front row.
Akhil Rabindra was fifth and Akash Gowda sixth as the competitive sessions saw the top six within a second of pole sitter's time.
In a fairly incident-free session, the top 10 was completed by newcomer Chittesh Mandody at seventh, contender Ananth Shanmugam eighth, former EuroFormula driver Parth Ghorpade ninth and Sandeep Kumar 10th.
