What better way to welcome a Texas fall than with some of the most exciting racing the state of Texas sees all year. And beginning September 20, race fans will watch as some of the country’s best drivers vie for the top spot during the IMSA American Le Mans Series at the famed Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas, the precursor to what some consider the superbowl of racing – the November Formula 1 United States Grand Prix.
Texas-based team EFFORT Racing is currently dominating the IMSA series. If their Facebook likes are any hint at the domination the team is having off the track – the team has already collected 297,348 Facebook likes in only 19 months, which is on pace with that of F1 teams in terms of followers, and have more than 5,500 talking about them daily – their wins on the track confirm their accomplishments and successes, and ensure fans at this week’s race are guaranteed a thrill.
And what’s not to like?
EFFORT Racing was founded by accomplished driver Emile “Chuck” Toups, who currently drives in the Ferrari Challenge; its team captain is veteran driver Michael Mills, who is joined by young gun Sloan Urry, who together are set to catapult the team to the top of the podiums during this series.
With EFFORT Racing’s Texas roots, coupled with COTA being the premier track in the country, fans and drivers alike can expect that the EFFORT Racing team will continue living up to its motto, “We Come To Win.”
