After an impressive start to the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama season with 6th and 8th place finishes in the first two races at Sebring International Raceway last month, Michael Lewis and the Competition Motorsports/Curb-Agajanian team are preparing for the second event on the series' 2014 calendar at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, May 1-4.

Although a native of California, Michael Lewis will make his first race appearance at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca during the second round of the 2014 IIMSA GT3 Cup Challenge USA by Yokohama, May 1-4, 2014. He looks forward to attacking the track during the first practice session on the Promoter Test Day, Thursday, May 1.

"Growing up in Southern California, it has been a dream of mine to one day compete at this famous circuit," he said. "I can't wait to drive down the famous 'corkscrew' turn and explore some of the other tricky corners around the track, such as Turn 9. I look forward to tackle another legendary American circuit that is new to me, just like last month when I raced at Sebring International Raceway for the first time.

A recent test adds to his confidence level. "Overall, my team has been putting in great work for this upcoming race to give me a fast car to do battle against the other 30 drivers on the grid," added Michael. "I feel confident in my No. 98 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Car to have the speed and reliability to improve upon our results from Sebring. From my obligations as a driver to the mechanics' preparations on the race cars, it's business as usual here at Competition Motorsports to work on being the best at what we do."
