MacNeil signs with ALEX JOB for a busy 2011 campaign (Patron GT3 Cup)
Hinsdale, IL -- While many racers are caught up in the heat of silly season, preparing for 2011 campaigns, WeatherTech.com Racing's own 18 year-old Hinsdale, IL. racer Cooper MacNeil has his plans firmly set. Cooper would like to announce he has signed a commitment to participate in the full 2011 Patron Porsche GT3 Challenge by Yokohama with support from front runners Alex Job Racing.
Full details are in the preparation stages however, Cooper will pilot a brand new 2011 997 Cup Car throughout 9 weekends (all double-headers) in the IMSA sanctioned series participating in support of the American LeMans Series.
Maintaining a defense of his National T2 SCCA points championship, MacNeil will also make another run at a SCCA Championship driving his E46 BMW M3 racecar, prepared by Fall-Line Motorsports.
"It's amazing to have my plans set for 2011," MacNeil stated. "Obviously racing for two championship caliber teams at such a young age is a fantastic opportunity. I'm particularly excited to start developing my relationship with my new team Alex Job, whom my racing coach Randy Pobst drove to success with. For sure, 2011 will be an intense and busy season, but with my fantastic partners; WeatherTech.com, MacNeil Automotive Products, Laurel BMW of Westmont, Alex Job Racing, Fall-Line Motorsports and ProMotion Driver Development, we should be able to continue our winning ways.
Cooper plans to hit the track several more times in 2010 testing and racing again in the worlds longest race, The 25 Hours of Thunderhill.
