Boris Said suffers broken rib in massive crash at Mosport

The sports car racing legend will not take part in this weekend's TUDOR United SportsCar Championship race.

During practice for Sunday's TUDOR United SportsCar Championship race at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Boris Said was involved in a massive accident.

The road racing champion left the track in the first corner, making significant contact with the barriers that waited beyond the racing surface. He was transported to a local hospital where he was disagnosed with a broken rib. He has since been released.

The damaged Daytona Prototype, which was to be driven by Said and Eric Curran, has been withdrawn from the event. It's been a rough year for the Marsh Racing Corvette DP team, which has failed to score a top five finish in their class after eight rounds of competition

It is not yet known whether or not Boris will be cleared to race in the next event at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He went into this weekend tenth in the P1 standings, 70 points out of the lead.
