The first night practice for the Rolex 24 competitors has taken place.
Starworks, Action Express, and the DeltaWing took turns at the top of the pylon during the third practice session for the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona. But in the end, the perfect weekend continues for Michael Shank Racing, who has placed their new Ligier at the top for all three practice sessions thus far and qualifying.
A.J. Allmendinger bested the No. 5 Action Express entry by eight tenths of a second, who was just ahead of Taylor-owned Corvette DP. Neither Ganassi car took part in this practice session after placing P2 and P3 on the grid earlier today.
RSR Racing led PC, flexing their muscles for the first time this weekend. GTLM was headed by the No. 51 AF Corse Ferrari as the No. 73 Porsche 911 ended GTD at the top.
The session was stopped by a single red flag for a car stopped on track.
