UPLAND, Calif. - Wheel Enhancement/GAS Motorsport formally announce its 2006 IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge presented by Michelin driver lineup. The team is uniting last season's Southern California rivals, Nathan Swartzbaugh and Kevin Roush, and Ben McCrackin of Corpus Christi, Texas, to pose an immediate threat to the 2006 Cup competition.

Swartzbaugh, who tied Roush for second in the points last season, will battle the seven-race schedule in the No. 17 North-South Machinery Porsche 911 GT3 Cup Type 997 alongside Roush's GAS Motorsport/Wheel Enhancement No. 12 Porsche 911 Cup Type 997 and McCrackin's Magnus Energy Marketing Ltd. No. 81 Porsche Type 996.

"Both are great guys with loads of talent and experience," said Roush. "Team Wheel Enhancement/GAS Motorsport looks forward to shining through their achievements with them."

"I look forward to learning a lot from Kevin," added 20-year-old Swartzbaugh. "I'd rather be his teammate than his rival because he's a pretty tough guy to beat."

At the final race of the 2005 IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge season in Laguna Seca, Roush was first to take the checkered and Swartzbaugh captured his first third-place podium after running second every lap but the last two. The pair hopes to further build on their momentum in 2006.

Ben McCrackin, also looking forward to working with his new team, will be racing his second season in the series in the 996 Class. "I teamed with Wheel Enhancement/GAS Motorsport due to their proven performance and to a team size and structure that I believe will allow all the drivers to compete at our best," McCrackin said. "It should be a great and enjoyable year for us all."

Round one of the IMSA GT3 Cup Challenge presented by Michelin is set to kick-off at the 54th Annual Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring at the Sebring International Raceway, 3:40 p.m., Friday, March 17. Qualifying round for the race will start 1:50 p.m.,Thursday, March 16.
