Dario Franchitti wins the CART race at Rockingham Motor Speedway in Corby, England. Last win by a Honda-powered car in CART (2002).

Hans Stuck wins the Mont Ventoux hill-climb in an Auto Union "P-Wagen" Grand Prix car (1934).
