French weekly magazine Auto Hebdo is reporting that Sébastien Loeb will take part in this year's Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in Colorado, USA.
According to initial reports on their website, Loeb will use a prototype Peugeot 208 currently being prepared in the manufacturer's factory.
This will be the Frenchman's first attempt at the legendary hill climb event, held on June 30, the second oldest race in the United States after the Indy 500.
Last year's edition, the first to be run on a completely paved surface from start to finish - 14,110 feet up - saw Rhys Millen and Hyundai take the spoils in a battle against Romain Dumas in his privately prepared Porsche.
Peugeot is no stranger to the event, having won on two occasions in the 1980s with the famous 405 Turbo.
More information on this as it becomes available.
