Saturday June 29th

Clint Vahsholtz won the Super Stock Car Division in a 2000 Mustang, by a 32 second margin over Steve Goeglein in a 2002 Chevrolet. By doing so Clint has broken two records:

1st: 7 wins in a row in the same class (Super Stock Car) The previous record was held by Bobby Unser and John Crawford. By the way all of Clint's wins were in a Ford Mustang! Nobody has ever won 7 in a row in the Super Stock Car Division;

2nd: Clint has won 10 Pikes Peaks races in a row 7 in Super Stock Car and 3 in Open Pro Motorcycle. Nobody has ever won 10 in a row .

Leonard Vahsholtz won the Super Stock Truck / SUV Division in 1996 Bronco 4X2, by a 30 second margin over Chad DeVries in a 1997 Ford V8 Powered Ranger 4X4. By doing so Leonard Vahsholtz ties Bobby Unser with 13 total wins. All of Leonard's wins have been in Ford powered vehicles.

Another Pikes Peak record that was broken was the combined Father-Son record. The previous record was tied between Father Bobby Unser and son Robbie Unser and Father Leonard Vahsholtz and son Clint Vahsholtz with 21 combined wins. With wins for both Leonard and Clint at the 2002 Pikes Peak Hill Climb, the Vahsholtz father-son team owns the record with 23 combined wins.
