COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Bobby Regester of Florissant, Colo., narrowly edged out the competition in the Super Stock Car division during the first morning of practice Thursday in the Adelphia Pikes Peak International Hill Climb.

Practicing on the middle section of the course, the 4.1 mile middle section stretching from the Ski Area to the Devil's Playground, Regester drove a 4 minute, 16.97 second time in his No. 25 Chevrolet Camaro.

"We wanted to come out hot, and stay on top all week. This is the same car we had last year. We just didn't have a chance to work the bugs out," said Regester, who finished third in the division last year
