Post-qualifying Notes & Quotes

The Defending Champion Prototype Technology Group BMW M3s Qualified 1st, 3rd and 7th in GT-3

BILL AUBERLEN; #10 Yokohama BMW M3; pole in GT-3: "The car is really good...comfortable...easy to drive. We feel very good about our time and should have a great race."

DIDIER DE RADIGUES; #10 Yokohama BMW M3; pole in GT-3: (Belgian touring-car and motorcycle racing champion. A late addition to the team, who came on board Thursday.) "We've made some changes to the car, and they definitely were in the right direction. The track seems a little slower today, but it is good. Everything (with the car) is ready. I haven't had much time in the car yet (due to joining the team only yesterday), but I feel comfortable already, because I have raced here before in motorcycles."

DIETER QUESTER; #6 Yokohama BMW M3; 3rd in GT-3: "We improved the car quite a lot. I am comfortable with it...it should be quite good. It's ready for the race."

DEREK HILL; #7 Yokohama BMW M3; 7th in GT-3: "I only did a couple of laps (the team was running-in components for the race setup), but the car was really good...no vibrations or even a hint of anything wrong. It's lightning quick."

LES DELANO; #7 Yokohama BMW M3; 7th in GT-3: "I had a bit of a problem shifting on the banking yesterday, but we found some more adjustment in the seat today, and now the car is wonderful. It's very easy to drive, and so much lighter than the GT-1 car I drove last year that I'm moving my braking points much deeper into the turns."

TOM MILNER, team owner: "We did just what we wanted to do. Today we didn't go out to improve on our qualifying times from yesterday. All of the cars went well. The drivers are close in performance and comfortable. Everything is under control. Now what comes next is that small amount of racing luck that you need in a long race like this."
